With the Ruben Drenth Trio I am able to explore a whole range of genres with like-minded musicians. In my latest project I combine the steaming rock ’n roll riffs of The Rolling Stones with my love for improvisation and jazz artists like Eric Dolphy and Charles Mingus. For me this band is the perfect setting to experiment, compose and improvise and above all: rock ’n roll!
